1. Using our shop

These terms apply to your use of the Bono Coffee Roasters website and purchases through our online shop. Please read them before placing an order. References to ‘Bono’, ‘we’ or ‘us’ mean Bono Coffee Roasters in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

You must be legally able to enter into a purchase agreement, or have the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. Provide accurate contact, billing and delivery details, keep your account credentials secure and tell us promptly about unauthorized account use.

2. Coffee, availability and pricing

Coffee is an agricultural product. Origins, harvests, roast appearance and flavour can vary, and tasting notes describe a sensory experience rather than added ingredients unless expressly stated. Check the product description, size and grind selection before ordering.

Product availability and prices may change. The currency, applicable taxes, shipping charges and order total are displayed during checkout. Promotions are subject to their stated conditions. If we discover a material pricing or product error affecting your order, we will contact you to resolve it or cancel and refund the affected items rather than charge an unapproved amount.

3. Orders and payment

By submitting an order, you authorize payment of the total shown at checkout using your selected payment method. An initial order email acknowledges receipt; fulfilment remains subject to payment verification and availability. Keep your order confirmation for your records.

We may decline or cancel an order where items are unavailable, payment cannot be verified or there is a reasonable concern about fraud or misuse. If we cancel a paid order, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled items and any associated charges that no longer apply.

4. Shipping and delivery

Available delivery options and charges are shown at checkout for your address. Any delivery estimates are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise. Carrier delays, holidays and circumstances outside our control may affect timing; your statutory rights for late or missing delivery still apply.

Check your delivery address carefully. If your parcel is delayed, missing or damaged, contact us with your order number so we can investigate with the delivery provider. If you need to correct an address, let us know as soon as possible; changes may not be possible once an order is dispatched.

5. Cancellations, returns and product concerns

To request a change or cancellation, email [email protected] with your order number as soon as possible. We will check whether the order can still be changed before preparation or dispatch. This does not limit any cancellation right you have under applicable law.

If you receive the wrong item, damaged goods or coffee with a quality concern, contact us promptly with your order number and a description of the problem. Photos can help us investigate. We will work with you on an appropriate remedy, including a replacement or refund where warranted or legally required.

See our Refund Policy for eligibility, return shipping costs, subscriptions and refund timing. Please contact us before returning any goods. These terms do not exclude remedies for defective or misdescribed products.

6. Website content and acceptable use

Our branding, photographs, text and other website content belong to Bono or their respective owners. You may browse and use the website for personal shopping purposes. Reproducing content for commercial use requires the relevant owner’s permission, except where permitted by law.

Do not misuse accounts, submit fraudulent orders, interfere with the website, introduce malicious software or attempt unauthorized access to systems or personal information. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the shop and its customers.

7. Privacy and external services

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and your choices about optional analytics. Payment services and external links may be governed by their providers’ terms. Review those terms when using their services.

8. Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep the website accurate and available, but interruptions and errors can occur. General coffee information is provided for guidance; results depend on factors such as storage, equipment and brewing method.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from website use. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, or removes consumer guarantees, refund rights or other mandatory protections.

9. Resolving concerns and updates

Please contact us first so we can help resolve a concern. These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada, subject to any mandatory protections that apply where you live. Nothing here prevents you from contacting a consumer authority or pursuing remedies available under applicable law.

We may update these terms by publishing a revised version with a new date. Updates apply to future use and orders; they do not retroactively change the terms of an existing purchase. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
